HOME TOUR >> Living Room

I thought that I would finally share a little sneak peek of our condo! Considering we will be staying here a bit longer, why not share!?

1. This little deer I recently thrifted. I am not the biggest fan of gold, but if you love vintage it is one of those things you cant love without having it.
2. Books are an absolute must on the mantle!
3. My favorite thing on our record shelf is the lovely lamp. I got it at a local antique mall.
4. I got this little shelf for a dollar, its black but so lovely!
5. This is an Ikea chair. Not my typical but we need some more seating in the living room.
6. This is an overview.
7. I always wanted a tan globe and one day we found one! Cant forget the adorable fox!
8. After about a year of searching I found some paint by numbers. Not to mention they are perfect!
9. Our lovely star burst clock isn't vintage but the battery powered ones are hard to find!

I hope you enjoyed the preview! Come back soon for more!

Hey Love Muffin, and hello people of the interwebs! It's come to my attention that my awesome ceramic(?) wizard has once again been omitted from a post made by Meg.  So I've decided to acknowledge his presence! You can see his brilliance in the bottom right of the sixth image!  Upon his wizard tower which is a gift for defeating the possessed caterpillar pot of hideousness. (There's a post about that on here! I promise!)

I know it's small and blurry! But he is glorious and stands forever vigilant in the name of the Kingdom of LivinRom!
Have a magnificent day!
Love you Meg!

More cute pup pics!

Two guys named Ben.

One of my favorite couples!

Of course, no party would be complete without the infamous Guppy & Whaleshark.

Pirates & Fun photo booth props.

Some hat tossing!

Nothing would be complete without the cops being called. :)

What a fun time! I hope you enjoy looking at these as much as we enjoyed making them :)

AT HOME >> Party Ideas

So, we moved in around the beginning of March, and we STILL havent had our friends over yet. Im a little embarassed to say that I am so ocd about making sure the condo is exactly how we would like it. I suppose that Alex really doesnt care too much. I love that hes always offering an opinion though, that makes me a happy girl! To conclude this story very shortly, we have decided to have a small gathering(formalish party) of Alex's friends. This excites me because I like to see the reaction of peoples faces when they see the retro decor that Alex and I love so very much. Myself especially. So here you have it ladies and gents, some great party ideas from some wonderfully favorite bloggers.

When it comes to DIY or cute ideas Elsie and Emma have it covered. Here are a few ideas that I love from them!

Fancy Dancy Cheese Platters!
You can find the How-To on this baby here!

Another lovely post from A Beautiful Mess.

3 Infused water ideas!
 found here.

Also from A Beautiful Mess.

Who can deny Cake Pops!?
Here.

Oh Happy Day
I am always finding adorable ideas here at Jordans blog! One great foodie party idea is the one below!

Veggie Boats!
Squee! I love them.
You can find them here.

Do you have any fancy adultish party ideas?! Those were mainly the food ones. As far as Im concerned Im not a huge party decorator. I just love the food, fun, & good company!

XO-Meg

AT HOME >> Clean Up Closet style

So this is a bit embarrassing to show, but yes everyone, this is my closet. Before... I cant blame this mess on anyone else but myself. Alex has his own closet and believe it or not, its cleaner than mine! Lately we have been so busy and I just throw stuff in there! I cant believe I do this, but I do. Ugh. Time to clean up this mess!

First of all, I have tons of accessories and no where to really store them. I first took everything from the closet out. Some things no longer fit, or they were old and needed thrown out/donated.

I have about a bagillion belts, about a quarter of which had broken and I told myself I would fix them eventually. Or they didn't fit. Lucky for me once I took everything out of my closet, I noticed the person who lived in our condo before us had made many adjustments with nails, so there were multiple nails for me to hang things from!

I started with the belts. I utilized the nails that were already located in the wood. If you are worried about nailing anything in your walls, I highly recommend the sticky adhesive hangers that you can remove when you are done with them. I believe they are made by 3M or scotch. Once I did that I decided to organize my shoes, and purses, another great thing about our closets are that there are lower shelves built in for shoes!

I hung the purses then went on to the scarves. I purchased an Ikea item that you can hang scarves/ties/etc on!
It worked great!

I also used the wire beam for hanging some of my lighter rope like belts.

I used some baskets to replace card board boxes, and to hold smaller wallets and clutches.

Then finally relocated my dresses and clothes. Woo hoo! A clean closet. Since I did this clean up about a week or two ago, my closet is actually still not bad! Im proud!

Do you have any closet cleaning tips?! Id love to hear them!
